The Man, The Mission And Some Potential Life Changing

Nov 27, 2013, 3 smiles Janardhan (Jay) Chodagam - a personal development expert and a mindfulness trainer, was with us on the forest call this past Saturday in conversation with Amit Dungarani - a service space volunteer.   Jay Chodagam's Journey: Some pivotal moments  During his graduate years in US back in 1996-98.....Jay was increasingly becoming aware of an emptiness within him.  A meeting with an old friend in India poised him on a path of self discovery.  This friend was a very changed person from the friend that Jay had known. The friend who was born into a Muslim/Moslem family, had turned vegetarian and was rising early to meditate.  Jay attended a workshop at the Raja Yoga Meditation Center with this friend and there for the first time in his life..he found himself come to tryst with the most profoundly essential exercise --- mapping the purpose of one's life.  The seed of a deep change was sown......newer perspectives and experiences lay await... Mar 01, 2013 cindrella's father: jaanu (our 4 yr old) was fast asleep in her car seat and it was around 930 pm. jay called me out to help him with some selection... i stepped out of the car into the store and as we were finishing with our selection we noticed that jaanu's kolhapuri slip ons were missing. i returned to the car and found one of them near the car...but the other one was gone. jay returned to check if i found it and i couldnt find it anywhere near the car. oh god..no...now jay was going to find jaanu's slip ons no matter what....and i just wanted to get back home...i was getting all antsy about it.... but it didnt matter...jay had to find it...jaanu had told him that she wanted to wear those with her paavaadai (indian skirt). thinking back i was sooo out of the moment...swirled up in thoughts of i should get home, put her to bed...tomorrow's school, make some dinner for us... but jay was sooo into the moment..with a presence that being in the moment gives....and find it he did after two trips in and out of the stores...also the slip-on wanted to be found by him...it was near a small raised wall in front of the store... much gratitude cindrella's father...

Dancing To The Tunes Of A Child's Spirit

Oct 15, 2012, 1 comments dancing to the tunes of divinity: yes, i want to dance to the tunes of the divine spirit in a child, what beautiful lessons it offers -- to step in and say yes, i listen to what you say and will act on your need/wants from that moment...because a child is more in tune with the moment; to step out and say no, i will not want you to listen to me just because i am your parent and that you are expected to listen to me to become disciplined or see the situation the way i/we see it...all i want to do is allow the child's spirit to guide me and savor the moment's truth and beauty...aha...there is this way also, the way of the child... want to see the moment thru a child's eyes, with the innocent strength in feelings, with full connection to the moment...i learn, i grow, i love, all this ...
