I'm joining Service Space because ... of the positive change KindSpring has encouraged in me. So very grateful and honored to have the privilege of paying it forward.
A good day to me is when ... staying mindful in each moment, Universe flows through me with perfect connection.
My hero in life is ...each and every one of us on this lovely earth; struggling, loving, living, learning, connecting.
My favorite book is ...different at different times and phases of life. Lately, enjoy best the unfolding stories of kindness on the KindSpring community feed :).
One thing I'm grateful for is ... The realization that my choice of thought, which in turn leads to action, affects not only my life, but others as well. Being in the mindful moment of NOW, I choose love, always love <3.
Apr 30, 2017, 3 smiles ❤️ LOVING THE WORLD TO PEACE ❤️ Celebrating Global Love Day -- May 1st KindSpring's Patjos's Loving Kindness guided meditation https://youtu.be/rzDOg7XFDss has been made into a video and is now on the The Love Foundation's YouTube Channel!! It's such a lovely visual to accompany his words and intent, although, I usually "see" in my mind's eye -- lochs, castles and glens when listening :))). Grateful for all the coordination, teamwork and yes...LOVE -- that went into the video's creation. What a gift to all of us!
Jan 24, 2017, 1 smiles Scottish Recovery Consortium | The Scottish Recovery Workbook - free download A gift from a KindSpring member: "The Scottish Recovery Workbook was created by people in recovery in Scotland for the benefit of people just starting out on their recovery journey. To celebrate the new year and the Kinder Scotland 2017 campaign we have made the document into a PDF and made it available to anyone in the world who can use it to develop their recovery from addiction. Please accept this gift with our love. Recovery is not for sale and neither is this workbook, it is our wish that it be given away freely to those who are seeking recovery from addiction or in the early stages of recovery from addiction. It would be great if you could acknowledge that the gift came to them from people in recovery from addiction in Scotland who care… Making bridges not walls between us."

Dec 26, 2016, 9 smiles From our KindSpring mailbox -- a heartfelt response to our weekly newsletter: Re: Kindness Weekly: Seeing Kindness I love this weekly report. You are wonderful, thank you. My mom is slowly dying. She is 95 and has had a wonderful life. I am blessed to have extra time with her as her Doctor gave her 7-10 days to live back in September. She had a very rough day December 23. I was down and depressed when I left her nursing home. Decided to stop at Starbucks for coffee on my way home. The person in front of me paid for my coffee. I do not believe that some people realize how much those small acts of kindness mean. No only did it make my day, but passing it forward got me off of my self pity pot. A blessed holiday season to you.
Dec 14, 2016, 10 smiles From our KindSpring mailbox, a recent testimony of the power of those SMILE cards :-). My name is Christine. I am writing you because I received your smiley cards. I belong to a group of men and women who are learning how to deal with life through sobriety! When I saw your card it did make me smile. I mean out of all things just looking at a card had that kind of impact on me, I am tremendously looking forward to handing it out to the people who really look like they can use a pic me up. One thing I have learned through sobriety is you have to smile! God Bless!!
Jul 14, 2016, 3 smiles Great article on Greater Good, to foster kindness in kids ... A recent study by Arber Tasimi, a graduate student at Yale University, and Liane Young, a professor at Boston College, found that kids who do good—and think back on it—are driven to do more and more good. As Tasimi says, “These findings show that something as simple as asking children to reflect on their past good deeds has positive effects on children’s behavior.” If we want to raise kind children, this study suggests, we can reinforce good behavior by telling stories about their past kindnesses and offering gentle reminders when they’re deciding whether to share. (And a key way to motivate good behavior in the first place, according to a 2014 study, is for parents, educators, and other trusted adults in kids’ lives to invite them to be helpers, rather than informing them they can help—so helping becomes part of their identity.)
Jun 25, 2016, 2 comments, 5 smiles These kind of posts come often and always make us smile ... :) The other day I clicked on "see memories" on Facebook and I realized that all of my old posts were so negative and bashing....and then I realized how much I've changed in these last 2.5 years since I've discovered KindSpring ... and I'm glad that I don't feed that negative side anymore -- most days (some days are harder). Thank you all for showing me how to be kind again.
May 28, 2016, 4 comments, 6 smiles KindSpring now has close to 86 thousand members and every week, we feature a Community Member of the Week (nicknamed C-MOW internally :)), and this week's CMOW was a user named "Kaige". After being honored by the community, she posted a beautiful reflection on the community feed ... Hello my KindSpring family. I want to take this time to express my gratitude for being named Community Member of The Week. This is a tremendous honor to me and I can't say in words how I feel. No one knows this in our community but when I came to KindSpring (through way of Daily Good), I was a broken soul. I had been horribly mistreated by someone whom I loved and trusted very much. I knew that I had to get past this horrible feeling but I wanted to do it in a healthy, productive and positive way and I was not going ... Read Full Story
May 10, 2016, 4 comments, 16 smiles As you know, a fellow KindSpringer named Terre passed away unexpectedly. She had thousands of interactions with others in the KindSpring community, and through her posts, all of us had a unique window into the generosity of her life. After she passed, many wrote tributes to her on the site ... brindlegirl shared a photo of a double rainbow outside her home: "My heart has broken a little today. I am so sad. I just heard of Terres passing. It has touched me deeply and ripped me right open. Terre was a beautiful soul and still is. I will be praying for her today. Sending her as much love as I can. Let's all hold each other extra close and tight today. None of us know how long we have. We are all just passing through." bountiful posted a prayer, as did Mish and Wavingatyou and others. kjoyw remembered: "One of her ... Read Full Story
Jan 16, 2016, 3 comments, 13 smiles We recently got an email from a user: "Can I view my archived challenges?" That was a curious question, because, of course, everyone had access to their archives. But lo and behold, we discovered that there was a limit to the number of challenges that were listed. And this user had completed -- yes, completed -- 47 challenges. Forty seven 21-day challenges! Some of the challenge titles included: Spread Kind Words, Walking Challenge, Celebrate Others, May it Forward, Amygdala Whisphering, Mindful Technology, RAK Attack, Creativity into Action, Show Your Teeth, 300 Days of Gratitude, Writing Letters to the Elderly -- and upcoming challenges Mindful Money and Leafy Greens. :) Amazed to see the kind of inner transformation taking place on KindSpring!
