Smiling In Jerusalem Posted by Somik Raha, Apr 26 2013   Was at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem today. This is the holiest place on the planet for Jews. Felt touched by the huge wave of spiritual emotion that people brought with them to this spot. Before the excavation of the south-western wall, for a very long time, this was the only tangible connection Jews had to their past. People now go here and place prayers through the cracks of the stones in the wall. I put in a little prayer for peace amongst all the people in Israel, and felt motivated to also leave behind a smile card. After all, I was told that Israel literally means striving with God and overcoming. What an incredible idea!
