I think it was more than ten years ago when I ran into this message from Albert Einstein. It is a note Einstein had written to someone that had just lost a loved one and had very difficult time accepting it.

The note has left an impression on me. I have got inspiration to read it from time to time.

Today, it somehow came back to me yet again. Here it is...

"A human being is part of the whole called by us "Universe", a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection of a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prism by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but striving for such achievement is in itself a part of liberation and a foundation for inner security."
                                                                                 - Albert Einstein

Isn't it a blessing that when a thought resonates, it stays with us forever?
