Karma Kitchen Launches In Baroda!

1 min read
With Manjeet's intention and initiative we hosted the first Karma Kitchen in Baroda -- last Sunday. We were offered a beautiful cafe whose manager, Jigneshbhai, was in Singapore for 3 years and would regularly hangout at Annalaxmi (a pay forward restaurant). He loved that space but wasn't sure if something like this could work in India. He had doubts but he also wanted to experiment. So he joined us. It was powerful to see that he was the first volunteer to offer a zero bill to the first guest. There were lot of stories, that we're compiling but just wanted to send across our gratitude to the whole ecosystem that keeps such possibilities alive.

Audrey you were there with us in the place with these beautiful posters you made :) the cafe people requested us to leave them there. They are still there :) You were remembered so many times. Even as we passed on papers with reflection questions to the guests as we did in Sewa cafe. Sending lots of love :-)
