One beautiful way of communicating with your teens would be to go down memory lane of your own teenage moments and look into what it was like growing up then. And what were your most important memories that shaped you as a person. What memories do you have that were not pleasant either, so that you are aware to not pass it on to your child. Sometimes there are generational patterns that need healing. And may be the time to heal them could be now!
