Bangalore played host to its first Seva Cafe gathering on Dec 2nd. Our hosts
at the Vriksh restaurant, Susheel, Kapila and Amma and the entire staff were as excited about the Seva Cafe as were the volunteers.

It was a magical experience to witness our volunteers, coming together in the spirit of service on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, some of whom had driven 90 minutes to be part of the crew.

We served our guests with all our heart, and I felt a huge shift in my own heart as the day progressed. I experienced an insight that when I am totally committed to serve, I enter into the present moment, and then put my head down and start doing what needs to be done.

The focus shifts from being result-oriented to being action-oriented as all stress related to the future melts away and all that remains, is the present moment. A leap from doing to being!

It is like a spiritual pilgrimage in which you need to be aware of every step that you are taking deeply trusting that eventually you will reach your destination. Just surrender, flow, love and celebrate the joy of being fully alive today.

Here is a reflection from one our volunteers Priyanka as well as some images:

In deep gratitude to our family in Bangalore who opened up their homes and their hearts.
