I'm joining Service Space because ... It's the place where miracles happen, where we can experience the spontaneous evolution of the Earth in first hand, where we awake every day to discover the magnificent field of infinite benevolent possibilities.
A good day to me is when ... I make someone happy, smile, laugh ...
My hero in life is ...All the people from SS, KT, HO, who teach me about compassion, resilience, courage, service, friendship and Unconditional Love, they are ALL my heroes
My favorite book is ...at the moment, Spontaneous Evolution by Dr. Bruce Lipton, but I have loads of favourite books
One thing I'm grateful for is ... everything flows in the most perfect harmony.
Oct 22, 2013, 2 comments, 7 smiles It feels sooooo goooood when we plant little seeds, they stay there dormant and then flourish :-) For a year and a half I tried to do a kindness week at my daughter's school, sent the head teacher endless links to Ted talks ( most of them with family members :-) lol Nipun, Birju, etc...), gave smile cards to pupils and teachers, etc... Unfortunately I had to stop volunteering at the school for personal reasons so I just let things go until this month when I got the following front page school bulletin that made me believe that education is changing in the right direction. From the Head Teacher Mr. David Nicholson Dear Parents, Kindness and Compassion (“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” - Dalai Lama) As you may already know from recent bulletins, the school has developed seven ‘core values’ as part of ... Read Full Story
Oct 19, 2013, 4 smiles It feels like that all the little seeds (sent all SSp videos to the HeadTeacher and I also tried a Kindness week last year) I have been planting at my daughter’s school (here in the UK!) finally turned into something very sweet.
Aug 07, 2013, 5 smiles We have just received this message at the KS, impossible not to smile big and wide :-) "Hi! I'm Deedee and as you can see, I'm 83. I have been through many happy and many sad times in my life. I find at my age that I'm limited in what I can do and by being kind and helping others makes my life much happier and fulfilling."
Aug 04, 2013, 6 smiles Today is only day two and we already have 3 people enrolling for the Kindness Challenge. Here are the responses that we received: "Inspiration: I heard a great presentation last month in Ventura, and I'm whole heartedly in!" "Inspiration: Kindness has always resonated with me, and this will push me further." "Inspiration: I'd like to host an Awakin' circle at my Spiritual Center in Vallejo. I am the Senior Minister and was talking to my friend David Bruner about you and am going to join him and you in your 21 day kindness challenge in September. We are a smaller congregation of about 40. Growing in radical generosity. YAHOO! Please send me details on holding an awakin' circle soon!" This is AWESOME :-)
Aug 04, 2013, 5 smiles Two months ago a friend of mine, who is a childminder, introduced me to a Portuguese lady who moved to our little town less than a year ago. I am always excited to meet new people but if they are from my home country that makes me even happier. At the moment she is about to give birth and unfortunately she has had some difficult life challenges and her partner is not very keen on becoming a father so I have been accompanying her to doctor appointments ( she does not drive ), going shopping with her, taking her treats and making sure she feels as supported as possible. Last Friday after the midwife's appointment that asked us to return next week ( her time finished last week ) we went shopping and as I had 2 discount coupons, I gave her 1 because it is normal for me to ... Jul 02, 2013, 2 comments, 5 smiles When 5 weeks ago I was invited to climb Snowdon Mountain in Wales, I had no idea of the challenges that were to come both physically and emotionally. On the 12 that were to go only 5 showed up. Our first challenge was to overcome the clouds of mosquitoes happy to have a little bite on us. The evening before the climb we got together for a meal and it was lovely to hear life stories. Our youngest member of the group who is at university, told us a lovely story about her room mate of only 19 years old who takes her tea to bed every morning, I thought it was lovely so when I got everyone a gift to celebrate our adventure I also got the lovely teenager a gift too :-) Our group climbed the mountain in 7 hours, it was the most compact life lesson of my ... Jun 10, 2013, 3 comments, 8 smiles I have just returned from Portugal where I spent a quiet week with my mother. On arrival I was presented with an act of kindness which made me feel at home. As I was waiting my turn to buy an underground ticket, a couple approached me and asked if I want a 1 day ticket, since they were leaving the country. I gave them a big smile, said thank you and in my heart wished them all the blessings of the world. Even though I only travel with a back pack it is always packed up with small gifts for my family and friends, it makes me feel like a Summer mother Christmas :-) Then I was given a very sweet opportunity to do an act of kindness. I went to a bookshop that I love, as I was there looking at all the novelties a gentleman in his 70's got into the ... Read Full Story
May 29, 2013, 1 smiles I love art, I am very blessed that I have a cousin and 2 good friends that are artists and their paintings are really lovely. But yesterday I was sent an email with a link to an artist that I found to be Portuguese (which made me smile big time) and his work reduced me to tears. I had never felt that way just looking at someone's work but the fact is that his work is awesome in ways beyond words. The only way I can put is, if I had to use a work of art to explain an act of kindness I would use one of his drawings. Joma Sipe is truly an amazing artist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLTWRJcjIo8 Enjoy.
May 26, 2013, 9 smiles I am a big fan of Lilou Mace, a French beauty with a lovely heart who travels around the world interviewing the most amazing people on Earth, and has a 20 million views web TV. I was delighted when today I found out that she had interviewed Yuka Saionji and Smile Cards ... the rest I leave it to you to find out: It was also great to see that Birju and friends were recently in Japan, and there is wonderful talk about a new Japanese translation as well.
May 02, 2013, 1 comments, 10 smiles Here's a comment that we just received on HelpOthers, that ought to make each of you chuckle ... "Hi there, I just received an awesome Smile Card at the Atlas Purveyors coffee shop in Boulder. I was lucky enough to be wearing a bright red scarf and supposedly a man - perhaps even the ORIGINATOR of the Smile Cards - had just been in, and said to give a free drink to the next person wearing a colorful top. Well, I just wanted to find out who that man is because I think he might be my future husband. This stuff is so incredibly up my alley. I've done random acts of kindness like this for years, without knowing about the cards. Anyways, I wanted to say hi. Hi. :)"
