Donation To Animal Shelter

May 08, 2013, 8 smiles One of our wonderful Smile Card shippers got this as a comment on a recent order from someone in Austin, TX: "I'm not sure yet, how I will use the Smile Cards. But I love the idea. I heard of it because someone just made an anonymous $1000 donation to an animal rescue in my town, accompanied by one of your cards." So he googled to try to find a news item about it, couldn't find it but then found this:

Apr 06, 2013, 6 smiles Lots of people like to share Daily Good with others but, sometimes send the message back to us by mistake. Nice to help them out. G --- Hi George, Thank you for finding this message. Funny, I was actually trying to look for it earlier tonight. My friend said he hadn't received it, now I know why. Please extend my thank you to the staff of DailyGood. I look forward to starting my day with a DailyGood email each morning. The messages really set just the right tone to begin one's day. They make me smile, think, and motivate me to take positive and hopefully impactive action. DailyGood, you're spreading ripples of positive change. With Warmest Wishes, Thi Ly

Here's One I Just Had To ...

Mar 27, 2013, 6 smiles Here's one I just had to share because it shows the almost immediate impact your efforts produce in our readers of Daily Good: George :}) Dear Team, When I read today's Be the Change the first person or group of people that came to my mind to whom I should write a note was you! Its been only two days since I have subscribed for Daily Good, and I eagerly wait everyday to read an inspiring story from your team. These stories just reiterate the fact that goodness still exists and it begins from you! Just today as I walked out from a restaurant having a soothing cool juice in the evening I saw an old lady sitting at the door, I smiled and asked her if she would like to have a chai and she said she just had one, I insisted if she would like to eat something and she smiled and said can you buy me two cakes and replied with a smile and two cakes for her, followed by a short conversation, I went my way and she continued to sit there all by herself after the smiles we exchanged ~your team definitely had a role to play in the happiness that the lady experienced and the happiness that I did! Thank you so much! Looking forward to all the Daily Good emails! Regards, Ruhi

Ripples Are A Click Away

Mar 14, 2013, 2 comments, 6 smiles All I can say is WOW!  Just see how far the waves travel! This from one of our Daily Good readers in New Zealand ... Hello to you from New Zealand. I just wanted to let you know how touched I was when reading your story about Dewey and how important our libraries are in our community. We live in a really small community called Mapua which lies at the top of the South Island in New Zealand. Most of our library workers are wonderful retired volunteers who work tirelessly in our small library. After having read your article about Dewey it hit me how important it is to say thank you to those who give of their time with no expectation of repayment. With that I set out to make a banana loaf which I delivered straight after I collected my young daughter from school. I guess my point of writing to you is to firstly say a ... Read Full Story

Aman writes: Hi I just recently came across your website, I'm going through a tough patch in my life right now and reading your articles are a true inspiration and spiritually nourishing. I find it ironic that despite all the divisions we humans create be it nationality/religion/financial we all experience the same ups and downs of life. Its refreshing to see that they are so many kind, loving human beings like yourself on this planet we all share, god bless you all and lots of love and hugs to all, warm regards.

Dec 06, 2012, 3 smiles Never doubt that your efforts are having a positive impact! This came in to Daily Good mail today in response to the most recent article and it also is a good one for HelpOthers: Ruth writes: I especially loved this one today...recently I saw a young girl, waiting for a bus, crouched down on the ground...the weather was ugly out, and cold...she was dressed for summer! It was rainy....I saw her as I drove by....I got a block away and could not get her out of my mind...I drove back, parked, got my umbrella out of the back seat and walked over to her...she said "Are you waiting for the bus too?" and all I said was "No, sweetheart, I'm giving you this umbrella while you wait....no one should be out in this weather without one...wish I had a jacket to give you." She smiled so sweetly at me....later, on my return trip, I noted ... Read Full Story
