I'm joining Service Space because ... I enjoy the Awakin meditations, reading the daily good, and it's an amazing community to be a part of.
A good day to me is when ... I will it to be good, and each hurdle or challenge I take on with a positive point of view!
My hero in life is ...Mother Nature. Mother Earth in all her glory. She reminds us to stay humble, caring and that we are on this ship together.
My favorite book is ...The book i am currently writing!
One thing I'm grateful for is ... love,being grateful,breathing!
Jan 27, 2015, 2 comments, 11 smiles It's been a while since I last posted. 2014 held a lot of surprises for me, a lot of changes. It shook me out of my comfort zone and into the unknown. It was scary, but I realized eventually it was an important part of life. Sometimes it happens to people sooner, and to other later in life. It was something rather interesting to experience, and definitely a time for growth. The posts of service space, daily good, kind spring and Awakin Wednesdays helped me, inspired me, and kept the hope going. After about a year, am excited to host Awakin meditations again, and get active in the community again. The most important thing I learnt from the 2014 is that no matter what, never forget to smile, never forget to be kind, even in the smallest capacity. ^_^
Apr 22, 2014, 2 comments, 11 smiles We hosted an Awakin meditation last week, and the reading was the piece by Scott Morrison titled 'Nothing Else Matters'. We had some new people join us, after a few weeks of no one showing up. Their reflections on the peice were refreshing and eye opening. It's been hit or miss with people coming for Awaken meditations. there are often many RSVPs and then the weather is good (which is a big deal for Ohioans) and no one shows up. What I learned from the people who did show up, and the reading was that it doesn't matter if people show up or not, what does matter is that I am ready to meditate and share space and time with others! :-)

I called my boyfriend as I was on my way there, although still half hearted about truly arriving, and he reminded me to honor my commitment. After all the internal stress I created for myself, I was ultimately so glad I went. I met so many wonderful people, that I was inspired and motivated to start my own Awakin meditation circle here in Ohio. Last Wednesday 3/19/2014 I held my first circle, and seven people showed up. There were a few cancelations due to the weather, and Medina, Ohio is in the boondocks, however those who did come were glad they did. The reading for the day was the piece by Krishna Das- Practice Without Integration is a Waste. It was perfect, ... Read Full Story
