I'm joining Service Space because ... Finding Nipun Mehta is a radical coming home– a true step NOW in actively supporting my vision of a world of only love and generosity for all! How can I serve ServiceSpace? Where do you want me to live? What would you have me do?
A good day to me is when ... I share my joy, talents, skills, gifts with others openly, effortlessly – and they are received, independent of financial gain; to discover that which I did not already know, or create something that didn't already exist –
My hero in life is ...Mother Theresa
My favorite book is ...Too numerous to mention. Right now, Evolutionary Enlightenment by Andrew Cohen.
One thing I'm grateful for is ... The trust and support from Source Love over the past year that inspired courage, freedom and confidence to start a new life – discovering a new purpose based on love and generosity as the bottom line!
Jul 12, 2013, 1 comments, 4 smiles Some of you might know about the incredible life of Buckminster Fuller. In 1974 I had the privilege to see this man in an intimate setting at the Edinburgh Arts Festival in Scotland. The energy and enthusiasm that radiated from his slim, joyful 80ish being - he never stopped vibrating, speaking like music, words and phrases I'd never heard before - I was dumfounded and starstruck simultaneously. Bucky was a perfect union of art and science, of service and environmental activism (Critical Path). Finding this story today, I immediately thought of Service Space! Bucky was the first to introduce me to the idea of allowing one's life to unfold naturally, synergistically, to use his word, rather than seeking, promoting one's work. And now today on his birthday he has given me another gift; this story, a quote that describes his epitaph: "Something hit me very hard once, ... Read Full Story
Mar 29, 2013, 4 comments, 9 smiles Two days ago, I was on my way to Casa de Paz, en route to carpool for the Awakin gathering in Santa Clara. Just as I neared the house, on 36th and Foothilll, I found myself right in front of a shooting. Three teens, all dressed in black, got down from an SUV and opened fire. Lots of shots were fired, but fortunately, no one was hurt on this day. As I saw all this unfold right in front of my eyes, for the first time in life, I was certainly shaken up. If one of those bullets came my way, I wouldn't be here. Yet, I am here and I felt it to be a sign that I need to be here. In the carpool ride, as I was debriefing with Pancho, he shared a lot of profound insights from many of his own experiences. One thing he said was, "Many people's fearlessness awakens fear in others, but when that fearlessness comes from a space of inner stillness, it awakens love in others. That's why we meditate two hours a day."
Jan 31, 2013, 2 comments, 2 smiles Hello Community of Giftavists! I am new today to Service Space. How can I serve ServiceSpace? Where do you want me to live? What would you have me do? I have numerous creative talents, skills, and gifts to share – I'm departing Steamboat Springs, after 25 years on February 6th, ready to begin a new life completely focused now on generosity and love as the bottom line. The past life pattern was released in September. I've been living in the unknown, asking questions regarding my future....with purposefully limited money, learning to trust in the generosity of others as I make this transition. I've been blessed with kindness, love and support here; it's time now to expand into another community of more like-minded evolutionary activators. Would love a warmer climate, but I'm open to anywhere my service is needed. With gratitude – looking forward to your suggestions! JoAnn
