Last Friday, a few friends kicked off a 21-day challenge to deepen in values during times of corona. Already, the stories people have been sharing are bringing wide smiles to our faces, and inspiring us to flex our muscles of kindness, gratitude, stillness, and more!

Here's a few highlights from our first few days...

Day 2: Find Quiet Joy In Gratitude

"I have been starting each day by writing 3 things I am grateful for since this all started. I also wrote a card for our postal worker a bit ago, and would like to do more of this. The attached photo is the card I made that I left in the mailbox for them to retrieve." --L

Corona Chronicles
"I found solace in a humorous paper letter received from a friend, sending a snail mail to a pen pal in Turkey, Chatting with a patient on the phone about the trauma inherent in this time, taking walks with my partner and dozing in the sun. I am enjoying a tangelo as I type this and a good cup of herbal tea. And for all these moments, I am supremely grateful. The fear and panic and uncertainty is so palpable and over and over I must ground with these quiet acts." --SL

Long-distance Journaling On A Holy Day
"Today is Holy Saturday; thus, I joined long-distance with my aunt who lives in Mexico, I live in California (USA) to reflect on the 14 stations of Via Crucis and how they relate to our lives. I am using a journal to write my reflections (gifted by my aunt) and we'll be talking tomorrow to have a conversation on the deep/meaningful reflections resulting from praying, meditating, reflecting: This is the very first time in our lives that we're connecting thru spiritual journaling." --L

Day 4: See Through A Lens of Love

"Today ... As the day progressed there was a few tensions between myself and my husband, understandably since we are in such close quarters all the time. We snipped a little but soon I was able to turn that grumpiness into loving thoughts that we are both struggling with this isolation. We each need space and through the lens of love our normal peaceful ways came back into balance." --TC

"I am showing my family I love them by spending time with them and helping them out whichever ways I can, even with something as simple as doing the dishes so they can relax. I try to spend as much free time as possible downstairs in the family room just to be with them and I like to play board games or cards so we can have fun as a family and make it through this quarantine with a stronger relationship than before." --M
