After Nimo's visit to our school last month, we were all charged up to keep the spirit going! This most recently rippled into a smile experiment inspired by his upcoming Planting Seeds music video, and the kids' energy has been incredible!

This Tuesday, our 5th graders kicked off a "Smile Campaign" at downtown San Jose City Hall-- sharing smiles galore-- while today, we held a "Smile Campaign" by a Starbucks close to our school in Los Gatos. As we were walking back from the adventure with the 3rd and 4th graders, a woman stopped me by our school as she was getting out of her car. It turned out she had just gotten a call from her daughter, who was just at Starbucks. She saw the smile signs and our students had given her a handmade smile card-- an interaction that just filled her with joy inside! The woman continued to tell me that her daughter was having a really difficult morning, and how much she appreciated what we were doing. She gave me a big hug, and with tears streaming down her face, she said, "Thank you so much. These are the little things that mean so much. Thank you."

Planting seeds and making a difference really feels amazing... Just wanted to share that quick story. :) The kids reflections on planting seeds were *amazing* this week.

More photos here. :)
