This Christmas eve was a very special one. There was so much joy present and I found my self breaking away from barriers I hold for myself and the result was just pure joy.

I volunteered to play guitar for a bunch of people who were singing carols for children at different NGO's and the event was so much fun. The children were really happy and there were exciting games that were played. The evening was made special by a clown who was present among us.Brett was a part of a group of professional clowns from Australia who were doing humanitarian clowning in India. Fascinating. He juggled, blew bubbles, wore a funny red nose, and above all of that, he seemed such a loving human-being and I was so drawn to him and his friend Santosh who were at the gathering. The celebration at the NGO ended, and the three of us somehow landed up deciding to take a trip down town and another friend joined us as well. We strolled around a busy street, making occasional stops to suddenly burst into music. We wore funny bows, hats, and other random accessories and just walked around spreading the joy of Christmas. People danced, while we were playing carols, policemen ignored the noise, whereas normally they would have asked us to move on. It was so beautiful, full of energy and love. Folks who were walking by stopped to sing with us, and it was a grand feeling to see them smile. We moved onto the metro station nearby and played there as well:).

The four of us ended our busking/clowning spree at the church where we were going for midnight mass. We stood around playing music for a while until the service began.

Meeting Brett, was so inspiring and moving. He lives to make others smile. The bond I created with him, is so special as we are both clowns and performers in different ways:)

It was a fantastic start to Christmas:)
