dancing to the tunes of divinity:
yes, i want to dance to the tunes of the divine spirit in a child, what beautiful lessons it offers -- to step in and say yes, i listen to what you say and will act on your need/wants from that moment...because a child is more in tune with the moment; to step out and say
no, i will not want you to listen to me just because i am your parent and that you are expected to listen to me to become disciplined or see the situation the way i/we see it...all i want to do is allow the child's spirit to guide me and savor the moment's truth and beauty...aha...there is this way also, the way of the child...

want to see the moment thru a child's eyes, with the innocent strength in feelings, with full connection to the moment...i learn, i grow, i love, all this through a child's divine spirit...

from an instance - the other day, jahnavi, i and other parents and their children got locked in the park...the gate wouldn't open because of a jammed lock. jahnavi was happy-stuck with the swing and she saw her dad helping with trying to open the gate...still on the swing and now standing. the guys finally opened the gate and everybody sighed a relief and got out immediately...jahnavi was still on the swing, standing and she wanted her dad to come and swing her...we just wanted her to get going....no swinging anymore....the door has just opened and you have to get out immediately. she dint want any of that....she just wanted her dad to swing her just once...no way..we insisted she has to listen to us, she has to understand the situation we thought and also said that the cops might come...but no, she wanted her dad to swing her just once and she would come...finally jay did go, swinged her once and then she got off happily and followed us home.....what was lost,
what was gained...but for a tiny moment that was rendered precious...
