Awakin Circle with Masami Saionji (and Nipun Mehta)
"Everything starts from the individual. The pattern seen in an individual is reflected in that person’s family, which in turn is reflected in his community, in his country and ultimately in the world. " --Masami Saionji

We feel truly blessed to welcome Masami Saionji to a humble Awakin Circle in our living room in London (Pimlico) on Friday, June 16th.

Masami Saionji is a spiritual leader for many around the globe, author of 20 books, and from the royal lineage in Japan.  When she was barely eighteen, nearly sixty years ago, she experienced various life-altering (and completely unexpected) spiritual experiences that led to her ultimate calling of spreading universal prayers of peace in the world. Spiritually mentored by Masahisa Goi (a close friend and contemporary of the founder of Aikido), her work has now touched millions of lives in Japan and around the world. She is the chair person of Byakko Shinko Kai, The World Peace Prayer Society, and The Goi Peace Foundation, and is perhaps best known for installing more than hundred thousand "peace poles" around the globe and popularizing the simple prayer: "May Peace Prevail on Earth."

Anyone who meets Masami unfailingly speaks about her ineffable radiance and loving humility. Last year, in San Diego, when she received a Lifetime Achievement Award in San Diego, the audience gave her multiple standing ovations during her talk -- and she literally kneeled on the stage to bow in gratitude to the audience!

In conversation with Masami-san will be Nipun Mehta.  Almost seven years ago, he first visited the Saionji family in Japan and was profoundly moved by their work of "subtle service" -- simple on the outside, deep on the inside. Since then, they have build a very rich friendship and work together on various projects.

The plan for this evening is as follows...
  • 6:30pm - Sit together in silence for an hour
7:30pm - Masami and Nipun in conversation
8:00pm - Q&A and circle of sharing with the group
    8:45pm - Home-cooked vegetarian dinner
This will be a particularly special circle since it is the first time that Masami-san is attending an Awakin Circle!  She is typically used to very large events; just a few week back, at her Symphony of Peace Prayers event at Mt. Fuji, more than 10 thousand people attended. Yet she is excited to be in circle with a small group of people.  Moreover, we feely doubly blessed to be joined by her remarkably inspiring daughter, Maki Saionji.

To attend, simply RSVP below and we'll send you a follow-up email with the details.
