Writing Open the Mind: Two Circles with Andy Couturier
Dear Friends,

We're delighted to invite you to two special circles with gifted author, and writing instructor, Andy Couturier!

Sunday, September 18th, 10-11:30AM PST
In this moderated conversation with Andy, we will dive deep into his own writing journey, and trace some of the twists and turns that led to the fertile insights, and experiments in his magic carpet of a book,"Writing Open the Mind: Tapping the Subconscious to Free the Writing and the Writer."  The dialog will also explore Andy's approach to facilitating writing workshops, and what he's learned from his many decades of helping people open their minds, unlock their creative energies, and move forward with their writing dreams.

Monday, September 19th, 5-7:30PM PST
Follow up Sunday's conversation with a rubber-meets-the-road, pen-meets-the-page workshop with Andy! Get a firsthand experience of what it means to break out of your box and enter the slipstream of a frothing, burbling, entirely fresh approach to your own mind! The session will include a few writing experiments in real-time and plenty of interactive space for participants. No previous writing experience necessary. Just come prepared to play!

About Andy:
Andy Couturier is the author of Writing Open the Mind and A Different Kind of Luxury, now going into its fourth printing. He loves teaching writing, and is the founder and creative director of The Opening, a private writing school which offers courses in-person and online.  Andy and his partner built a house with hand tools in the mountains. In his personal life, he enjoys doing hand work such as tree-planting, splitting firewood, home scale gardening and food production. He loves to spend mornings reading classical Chinese poetry, or twentieth-century experimental, imagist and nature poetry.

We look forward to the possibility of having you with us!
