Teen Awakin Call: A Vegan Journey of Compassion to Animals
This Thursday, July 23rd @12PM PDT, we're thrilled to gather for a 90-minute call to converse with Lisa Apfelberg!

A vegetarian since she was six years old and a vegan for over 15 years, Lisa serves as Director of Programming for Shamayim, a non-profit that educates leaders, trains advocates, and leads campaigns for the ethical treatment of animals. A native of California, she currently resides in Austin with her husband, two children and multipe rescued pets. She has been elected as Net Zero Hero by the City of Austin, Texas and helps people transition to veganism or meat reduction by creating guides, hosting vegan cooking classes at home, and meeting people at the grocery store. Lisa holds a masters degree in social work and is continually driven by a desire to help animals.

We look forward to engaging in a youth-led conversation about her inspiring journey and work!
