|WHEN:||November 1, 2019, 6:30 pm|
|WHAT:||Inspired by global Awakin Circles and the spirit of community, we gather every month at our home in Fremont to sit in silence for an hour, do a circle of sharing our "aha" moments (around an inspirational reading sent in advance), and have a vegetarian meal together. There is no cost to attend and there is no underlying agenda. It is simply an offering in the spirit of stillness and service.
Our format for the evening goes like this:
To join, simply RSVP with your email address below and we'll email you all the logistical information a few days prior to the date.
As more background, Awakin gatherings started when three friends got together two decades ago to sit in silence in an ordinary living room in Silicon Valley. No teachers or gurus. No set agendas or proposed beliefs either. Just one strong principle -- when you change within, the world changes. And instead of closing the door, they left it open ... to all. Today, Awakin Circles have organically rippled to eighty cities around the globe. People meditate for the first hour, engage in a circle of reflective sharing in the second hour, and conclude the night by receiving a delicious home-cooked meal. A palpable sense of gratitude and community weaves through it all. Folks have blogged about its extra-"ordinariness", and the ripples of inner transformation are countless -- and continue on. Simply put, Awakin Circles are about sharing stillness, service, and community. If you're able to join, do RSVP below with your email, and you'll receive more details Thursday evening!
