This is the problem with Service Spaces: You get spoiled so much with love, trust, inspiration and "for you, all day" kind of commitment. Then you go into the "real world" and you feel like a plant out of the nursery. I felt that often when we shifted to a village. But after some time, I realized that what happens in retreats like this helps every person to carry within oneself some concrete tools of hope: You know that so much meaning, connection, trust and love are possible with so little resources and time. So no matter where you are, you can be the source of positive energy by attending to simple, small things in the spirit of service and often, just that much breathing space is all that is needed for everyone to catch on and kindle another person's spirit. It all, all, all, begins with stillness, simplicity, a small act of kindness and a smile. Thanks so much to Ashish, Manal and everyone for reminding these truths.
