One gentleman saw this young boy, and wanted to test him, so he asked him
"What are you doing?"
"I am lighting the lamp" the young boy said.
Saying this the boy lit the lamp.
"Do you know where the flame come from?" Gentleman asked the young boy
Young boy got very perplexed for some time, then one spark of inspiration came to him, and he extinguished the flame with this hand.
"Can you tell me where the flame has gone?", he asked the gentleman.. :)
Inner transformation or outer transformation? Gift economy vs, traditional economy ? These were some of the questions that we all discussed forming smaller groups, and trying to get deeper, putting our heads together to understand and most importantly to seek answers to these questions which often bother us. We may not have reached any conclusion, but it gave lot of food for thought.
A simple lunch was followed by the outdoor session to senior citizen park, to spread joy and happiness. Some decided to plant fruit trees there, while some sat down to write few inspiring quotes to be put on trees. .
It was touching to see the amount of attention everyone was paying to the details, someone planted tulsi right next to a bench, so that the aged person doesn’t have to bend down, and can easily pluck Tulsi while sitting on the bench.
Some of us formed another group, and started making tea which we went down and gave to whomsoever we found on street, with hugs and good wishes.
When you engage in hands activity with full heart and vigour in as a collective, somehow all other thoughts just escape your mind. Things seem to happen without anyone delegating or assigning any work, everyone just selects themselves in to doing something. It entire exercise seems like a meditation.
This hands activity was followed by the silent walk back home, to reflect on the day and just note the thoughts going through the mind.
It is always magical, by the time, we have the closing circle, you cant help but feel the great energy, love and gratitude. The space seems to have so many positive vibrations, which would continue to inspire for days to come. Lahar's magical voice, to the lyrics of Kabir, made the perfect end of the wonderful day of gratitude and love.
Deep gratitude to everyone who shared the space :)
