Courtesy of Preeta's leadership (and laddership) on Awakin Calls, we've got a whole lot of step-it-up news coming your way.  Here's just a quick start ... 

First of all, we've just crossed 15 thousand RSVPs since our launch in 2011! That's a kind of a nice, round and amazing number. :)  We've been averaging about 75 RSVPs/call for the last year, which is up from 65 the year before and about 55 the year before.  More in the middle section of our stats page.

As we were looking at the data, we also realized that many people RSVP well ahead of time.  So it's understandable that one might forget to join (and indeed, we estimate that 30% of the RSVP'd folks don't end up joining online and phone call).  To address some of this, we have now setup an additional email reminder to all of them early birds. :)

Secondly, we just looked up stats for audio plays -- and it turns out that, on average, about 150 people listen to it each week.  That was pleasantly surprising.  Super grateful to Anuj and Nikhil for anchoring this, week in and week out!

Speaking of audio, we have updated the title on our iTunes podcast. That sounds small, but we had been wondering how to sort this out for a while now. :)

Nextly, :) we have now started tracking hits for audio and bio pages. You can track that on our stats page, over time.

As you will notice, there's also a "DG" column in the chart above. That's for DailyGood.  Pavi's burgeoning DailyGood team has more than 30 volunteers now, and she has been brilliantly building a bridge from Awakin Call transcript to editing to DailyGood feature.  Here's a beautiful ripple we learned about, just one of many examples of this bridge.

To add to the transcript ripple, we have also setup an automated feature that sends it out as soon as it's posted.  (We've got some crowd-sourcing experiments emerging on the transcription end, and Pavi will share more on that as the time ripens. :))

Lastly, some people have started a new hash tag -- #PrabhaForPresident. That could be sub-conscious emergence given the current political climate, :) but we don't think so.  It's because Prabha, our volunteer coordinator for most of the last year, has been just stellar in setting up a crew every week.  It takes 33 hours to put on *each* Awakin Call, and it's been amazing to have Prabha's impeccable touch on it.  (Here's a summary of our team activity, by the way.)

Preeta is also hosting a team call later this week, where she'll be sharing bunch of new ideas. Details of the meeting are still being etched out, but if you'd like to join in, leave a comment on this thread and we'll be sure to send you the logistics.

One more lastly, of course, is a huge shout-out to hosts and moderators.  The kind of bios we put out, the kind of conversations we have, the kind of silent work we put in -- it all affects the deep ripples all this creates.  Thank you, all!
