Latest project from our junior high students at City of Ten Thousand Buddhas (CTTB) is... sewing heart pins!

Inspired by the heart and smile pins made by women in India, a group of our 7th and 8th grade students are sewing their own heart pins as part of their "Life Skills" class. Their first project is to sew 1000 pins by April, to share with children who visit for our annual Cherishing Youth Day. :)

Over the last few months, it's been great to see so many ripples unfold amongst our students. In November, a crew of our high schoolers embarked on a 21-day Gratitude Challenge. Then, our girls' school celebrated Thanksgiving with a gratitude-themed Karma Kitchen in our dining hall! The junior high girls even created their own pack of gratitude cards, inspired by smile deck cards. :)

Looking forward to seeing what unfolds next...!
