6 Back To School Mindfulness Practices You Can Start Today

"Now that school is back in session, your family is probably once again experiencing the hectic hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. Pack your books, tie your shoes, don’t forget your lunch. With the kids in school, we all tend to focus on every little thing at once. As a result, we tend to forget the most important part of our day — practicing mindfulness.  Incorporate mindfulness into your family’s daily routine this school year (and all year long)."

This week's featured article by author Kathy Walsh shares six simple mindfulness practices that each of us can build into our family life at home and on the go, to support both parents and children in feeling more present, grateful,  balanced and joyful as we embrace the fullness of our day-to-day lives.

Title: Good Morning World
By: Kathy Walsh
Ages: 4-8

Why? "As a Mom, I really like the whole JoyOhBoy series because it gives children such a positive outlook on life, something we all sorely need in this fast-paced, stressed-out world. Good Morning World helps kids start every day feeling positive, like anything is possible. It reinforces confidence and encourages us ALL to see the possibilities and the things we should stop and be grateful for. Check it out." -- Amazon Reviewer
