Parents' Special At Awakin Mumbai

Mar 09, 2019, 8 comments, 15 smiles A new phenomenon in our Awakin Circle is children inviting their parents, not just inviting, actually coaxing reluctant parents. They come solely because they do not want to hurt or disappoint their child. Once they do come, it becomes a special experience for them and all of us. Just the fact of having parents and children together in the same sharing circle, speaking and the listening, does something. This has happened thrice over, but this Thursday evening was extra special. Sumita, a master's in psychology and trained counselor, part of the ecosystem, researched for an Awakin Circle nearer to her place and found us. She confirmed coming along with her mother. 'Chai And Chat' -- Rung Of An Invisible Ladder

Nov 02, 2018, 2 comments, 15 smiles Inspired by so many of you, and our Awakin Circles, Vijay and I got back to our long held dream and started "Chai and Chat" -- just a conversation with anyone who feels like the need for one. We turned 70 this year. In gratitude for all that we have received, and how we have been held unconditionally by so many, this is our small way to pay it forward. We don't have any answers or solutions, often to our own problems, but over the years, we have learned how to listen and ask questions. Through all our training, from Conflict-Clarification to Narrative Ideas and Practices to personal daily living struggles, we have seen that conversations are often the best way to make visible the landscape of our lives and make informed decisions.
