Awakening RAK  - Jan 2019

Feb 17, 2019, 3 smiles We welcomed th New Year in style and had a great awaking circle sessions all round the year and looking forward to many more such circles in 2019. Our session for Jan 2019 was on Jan 25 2019 and was a very welcoming one. We had our one hour of silence and we were all able to sit in Silence in a very calm manner. We had the passage reading which was My Word of the Year by Nancy Gibbs and it was the word "LISTEN". Often we all come across many situations we were do not listen and start talking without even appreciating when the person wants us to listen. A key aspect of listening is to listen silently and be empathetic towards the person who is speaking ,understand and allow the person to speak. The word LISTEN also has in itself the word SILENT. We had lots of discussions and then the day was called off with a hot home cooked meal by the host. As the weather was lovely, we enjoy having the meal under the stars!!! Till Next time, keep smilin!!

Awakening RAK  - Dec 2018 - One Year Celebration

Jan 21, 2019, 2 smiles A year back in Dec 2017, Mr Nipun had visited RAK at Manohar Uncle and Neelam Auntie 's house and with lots of gratitude we have now been having awakening circles every month since then at their beautiful space in RAK. The session was on the last day of the year i.e. 31st of December 2018 and we began with one hour of silence. A lot of new faces also had joined in. The passage reading was from How Observation Changes Relationships by Vimala Thakar it was so nice to understand that we need not carry any residue over and just be free from it to enjoy the current moment and remaining awakened with thoughts that are full of positivity. Also as the author had rightly mentioned that we need to ask for forgiveness immediately to make our minds free. We had lots of views , discussions and this was followed with a lovely home cooked dinner which all of us relished. Happy New Year 2019!!

Awakin RAK - Nov 2018

Dec 30, 2018, 2 smiles We had our November session for Awakin Circle on 17 Nov 2018 and it was one where we had lots of ideas and thoughts that we shared. The session began with one hour of sitting in silence. The passage reading was from Relationships Make You Conscious, Not Happy --by Eckhart Tolle (Apr 18, 2016) which focused accept that relationships are here to make you conscious instead of happy. My view was true relationships make us conscious rather than happy because true love arises from beyond the mind and represents the fulfillment of the divine. This was then followed with a lovely home cooked dinner which all of us relished Our next session is on 31 December 2018 as we bid goodbye to the Year 2018 which as full of gratitude and love and we look forward to Year 2019 which will be filled with lots of compassion, gratitude and love for all.

Awakin RAK - Sept 2018

Oct 10, 2018, 3 smiles Our RAK Awakin Circle for the month of September was full of enthusiasm and marvelous. It began with the one hour of session of silence which was very welcoming. We had the passage reading from the Awakin Reading - The World Mirrors The Soul And The Soul Mirrors The World by Alan Watts. My perception was that human state of mind indeed reflects the facts in the world around and there can be no separation between the external world and the internal world that our minds are surrounded with. I would like to quote from Swami Vivekananda had stated in his work delivered in the year 1896 – The Free Soul – “ You cannot see your own face except in a mirror, and so the Self cannot see Its own nature until It is reflected, and this whole universe therefore is the Self trying to realize Itself. The perfect man is the ... Read Full Story

Awakin RAK - Aug 2018

Sep 11, 2018, 3 smiles We had our monthly Awakening Circle - August Session on the 30th of the month and it was splendid. We had our one hour of our silence session and then we moved on the passage reading which was Fueled By Love by Timber Hawkeve dtd Aug 20-2018, http://www.awakin.org/read/view.php?tid=2284. It was a passage that filled our heart with lots of thoughts on how we can learn to show our compassion and love for everyone irrespective of who the person is . We shared our reflections for the passage and many ideas sprang up and we were able to relate it to all. Even though we cannot control what people think about us but when they get angry or hate us , we surely can comprehend and see them from the angle of "love". As the passage and some reflections that I read makes me understand that we need not ... Read Full Story

This month on 12 July, 2018, we lost a true legend, Dada Vaswani and remembering one of his famous quotes " People need to know that they are not alone, that they have not been abandoned; but that there is One Who loves them for what they are, Who cares about them truly enlightens us that we should not believe that we are alone but rather surrounded with people who truly loves and cares for us. We need to learn on how to give and be compassionate which will make our sould enlighten from within. We had our reflections on this beautiful passage which was Communication As ... Read Full Story

Awakin RAK - June 2018

Jul 31, 2018, 5 smiles In June 2018, We began our session on the 29th of the month which was a Friday and it was a blissful evening with lots of reflections on the passage and lots of discussions that followed. Being 6 months already into this awakin journey, I felt so connected with my inner self and so did all the participants that we had no words to express how thankful we all were to the wonderful hosts and Nipun for showing us this. We had our one hour of silence, reflections on the passage Action Without Desire Of Outcomes by Vinoba Bhave where it stated how one can act without having any desire of the outcome which is tough to follow, doing selfless karma and not worrying about the outcomes. The words written in the passage "The main product of work is work itself" really inspired us and made us realize that we need to strive to work only better. This was then followed by a delicious meal. A big thank you to the wonderful hosts.

Awakin RAK - May 2018

May 27, 2018, 2 comments, 8 smiles We began our session this week on a blissful Friday evening and it was a wonderful evening at Neelam auntie's house. We had our one hour of silence and this was then followed by passage reading which was Exhausting Quest For Perfection by Brene Brown. It’s so true that these days we have started to live in a rather perfectly imperfect world where the likes and dislikes of others have started to matter to us more than what we really think about us. At the end of the passage it states that we need to let go of what people think and those unrealistic expectations from people makes us live a stressful life. There were so many reflections, stories and discussions that we did not realize that it were an hour already. At the end of the session, we realized that as a human we tend to make mistakes and being imperfect ... Read Full Story
