KindSpring now has close to 86 thousand members and every week, we feature a Community Member of the Week (nicknamed C-MOW internally :)), and this week's CMOW was a user named "Kaige". After being honored by the community, she posted a beautiful reflection on the community feed ...

Hello my KindSpring family. I want to take this time to express my gratitude for being named Community Member of The Week. This is a tremendous honor to me and I can't say in words how I feel. No one knows this in our community but when I came to KindSpring (through way of Daily Good), I was a broken soul. I had been horribly mistreated by someone whom I loved and trusted very much.

I knew that I had to get past this horrible feeling but I wanted to do it in a healthy, productive and positive way and I was not going to allow myself to do it in any other way. I took a chance and became a member of KS. I have never had any activity on a social network or online community but KindSpring drew me. You were so much more than a social network, you were a family on a mission. I read posts that revived my spirit and gave me focus. I felt acceptance that I had been so denied of. I felt like I mattered. My kindness and my heart mattered and the good that I could do was applauded instead of being [ridiculed]. I've gained forgiveness here and I value each and every one of you. I thank God for you. I truly thank God. Hopefully I am not offending anyone by saying that. I respect all beliefs and just want to display that I'm grateful to a higher power, one that is much bigger than I. Whatever the name you would call that energy, I am thankful to it for every single soul on KindSpring and the work that you're doing, even for me.

Thank you for being my support, my friend, my encouragement. Thank you for having me as Community Member of The Week because as far as I am concerned, you are being honored right here with me. Bless you all. Bless you.
