Saying Hello Gene

As I was in Berkeley for an Ayurveda class today, I, (of course!) made the customary stop at Vik's chat -- a place I used to frequent weekly when I lived in Berkeley many moons ago.

Today was different, though.  Sitting down for my food, I said hello to the person on the table next to me.  Then a couple walked by, looking for a table, and I invited them to sit at mine. As I got up to leave, I started a quick chat with the table on the other side.

I had purchased some sweets for a friend that I was going to meet in a little while. But instead, I offered the sweets to all the people on our community table.   They were a taken a back. "Really?"... "No.. No..". But after I insisted, there were many smiles and thanks.

The "Saying Hello" gene is developing some more within my heart -- thanks to the exposure via the Service Space community!  Thank you all!
