Awakin RAK
"All revolutions are spiritual at the source. All my activities have the sole purpose of achieving a union of hearts." --Vinoba Bhave

Every Month, a few of us come together to sit in silence for an hour, share some aha-moments for the second hour and often have a light meal afterwards. There are no teachers, or agendas. Inspired by a family who has done this for more than decade every week, Awakin Circles are just a space to come together and share in a context of stillness, community and service.

There is no charge and no one is expected to bring anything but their lovely presence. The evening's format is as follows:
7:00PM An hour of collective silence; its unguided, without any instructions or music. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
8:00PM A short reading (sent out earlier via email or whatsapp), followed by a circle of sharing of "aha" moments from everyday life.
9:00PM A vegetarian meal, offered in silence.

We trust that people will "pay-it-forward" to the world in their own ways. In fact, over the years, people in over 40 locations around the world have been inspired to host these gatherings.

Thousands of folks have attended these gatherings all over the world; some have offered much, some have received much, and yet all are present with the same heart. It is hard to say how exactly this spontaneous convergence of goodness happens each month, but as hosts, we feel fortunate to have such an opportunity to be of service, and to be home for such sincere and powerful inspiration.
