Meet the Earn N Learn Children ...

Earn N Learn is one of over 40 projects of Manav Sadhna, an NGO based in a quiet corner of the Gandhi Ashram in Ahmadabad, India. It aims to support and develop the journeys of young children living in slum areas who are faced with the burden of working to support the family by engaging in hazardous labour, selling balloons, working at tea stalls, picking rags, or shining shoes at the side of the street to contribute to the household income.

The Project is a stepping stone and a medium through which values are imparted to the children, encouraging their inner and external growth. Through the process, children learn and practice cleanliness and hygiene, honesty, responsibility, how to help others, how to work together, the importance of supporting their families. They develop their self-confidence, creativity and awareness. The children also receive exposure to people from all walks of life from around the world, gain real-life education and get to participate in trips and workshops.  Earn N Learn is a family where seeds are planted in a nurturing and loving environment.

Meet the Manav Sadhna Family...

What started 20 years ago as an experiment, where, Viren Bhai Joshi along with two other friends, Jayesh bhai Patel and Anar Ben Patel, engaged with children under the shade of a tree in the Gandhi Ashram every Saturday, cutting their nails, teaching them about sanitation and hygiene, has organically grown into a non-profits organizations, Manav Sadhna (meaning Service to Humanity) which  serves the underprivileged communities of some of the largest slums in Gujarat, while offering international volunteers an opportunity to grow in service.
