Awakin Chicago: Sunday, February 26
About fifteen years ago, three people decided to sit in silence for an hour, in an everyday Silicon Valley living room. No teachers or gurus. No set agendas or proposed beliefs either. Just one strong principle -- when you change within, the world changes. And instead of closing the door, they left it open ... open to all. The rest, as they say, is history.

Inspired by Awakin Circle and the spirit of community, the Chicago Awakin team gathers every month to sit in silence for an hour, share reflections (around an inspirational reading sent in advance), and have a home-cooked vegetarian meal (prepared by the host) together. There is no cost to attend and there is no underlying agenda. It is simply an offering in the spirit of stillness and service.

Our format for the evening goes like this:
6:00PM An hour of collective silence; its unguided, without any music. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
7:00PM Short reading, followed by a circle of sharing of “aha” moments from everyday life.
8:00PM Home-cooked vegetarian meal

To join, simply RSVP with your email address below and we'll email you all the logistical information a few days prior to the date.
