Virtual Awakin Circle @ Lincoln (Auto-Archive)
Inspired by Awakin Circles started in Silicon Valley in 1999 and by the spirit of community, we gather "virtually" on the third Tuesday of each month (and in person on the first Tuesday of each month) to sit in silence, and share our stories and inspiration in circle (prompted by a short parable or reading sent in advance). These gatherings have no teachers, and no set agendas or proposed beliefs -- they are simply a space to come together to listen to ourselves and to one another so a deeper wisdom may emerge.

Our format for the evening goes like this:

5:00PM

Please sit in silence at a location safe and comfortable for you. Guided meditation will begin at 5:00 PM; the Zoom room will be open starting at 4:00 PM for those who want to meditate longer and in silence before the guided session begins. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful. Contemplative prayer or other offerings in silence are also welcome.
5:30PM Circle of sharing of moments or reflections from everyday life for those who feel internally guided or inspired to speak. Please note these general guideposts for our collective sharing. (And please recall that among those guideposts is this: those who are moved to share are encouraged to do so; for those who prefer to simply offer the gift of listening while remaining in silence, that is most welcome as well.)
6:00PM Closing
