Every full moon, few ongoing volunteers in India meet to reflect on some nuances of inner transformation driven service.  We periodically invite new friends to join these calls, who have an interest in our shared values. That infusion of new voices broadens our collective lens, while also supporting the deepening of their volunteer journey.

This month's theme is "Climbing on Conditions", of how the ego creates sneaky schemes to gain personal benefit, even while serving. :) 

With a heart of transformation, we often want to change our inner and outer conditions; yet, even such acts of service can subtly multiply our ego. Consider generosity. We might give in one form of capital only to seek benefit in another form. I clean-up after you, but I want to be appreciated. I do many acts of kindness, but I use the resulting relationships to create a web of "social security". I serve the needy, but I want to feel like my life matters. I am person of incredible virtue, but I feel justified in accumulating power for helping others. 

During our call, we will offer a specific scenario and then collectively reflect on how we would each respond. It's always mind-blowing to listen to others. :) 

And that's not it!

The call will also feature an "AMA" -- Ask Me Anything -- session with two remarkable twins, who have been serving the world in so many kind ways, and whose birthday is this Full Moon! Drishti used to work in the disability space, and now helps lead a small foundation; Darpan is a gifted product designer and considers himself a "fruit of the ecosystem". :)  During the AMA, they'll be in the hot-seat and all of us will get an opportunity to them ask any question -- from "What is your favorite ice-cream flavor?" to "You've had few recurring dreams throughout your life. How do you interpret them now?" to "If you were the President (Drishti has a photo with the President, by the way!), how would you change the world?" It's always a joy to learn from the young ones! :)
