PODs remind me of Horton Hears a Who! And I'm curious to spread the benefit to others, especially younger generation.

INTENTION: how might the current POD technology/platform enable new interconnected and interdependent education for younger people?  Instead of developing top-down or even bottom-up and trying to be busy adults, I was wondering how to use what is currently available to us as this platform and see what can emerge for budding hearts. :)

BACKGROUND: Recently a friend approached me for supporting her 10 year old's educational journey. A friend in Australia (also with a 10 year old) reported that lockdown has been implemented and schools are under shut down. There is a push for online learning. I have always wanted technology to remain a tool, rather than become the medium. Yet this is a story of human evolution, where we end up worshiping our tools and create false gods out of the ether. 

Our own journey in the POD has been deeply grounding, healing, opening up so many new questions about education. Decades back, having read John Holt, Ivan Illich, Summerhill, Sylvia Ashton Warner, Mother, Sri. A, JK, RS and other inspirations, and even the story of Gotul, I'm wondering how youngsters can design their learning journeys. There are many platforms that have become a market place for connecting students and mentors, yet the question of heart always remains. Parents still want to know the impact of the teacher in the child's life.

INSPIRATION: Personally, I have not been in the space of institutional learning for many years now. I find it very challenging. Have to serve remote and abstract needs, rather than the needs of the learner. There was a time I was doing research in ed-tech and building a platform. Speaking to a voice in the dark, I was invited to leave tools and find/create the heart that will use these tools.

August 8th is the New Moon -- perhaps a good time to sense directions in the darkness. :) It would be a joy to have a conversation with all of you, around how we can leverage the Pod platform for the younger generation.
