My father left voluntarily this life
And I once considered the same.
Remembered grief of being left
Then gratefully came.
The tears of sudden loss that we cried;
Oceans, rivers and muddy ponds
Of what could we have differently tried.
Those lessons taught me to reveal
The heart binding relentless feel.
Unraveled with the rays of Light
The darkness receded ever so slow
But as it did, it washed clean
The journey afresh, enabling purer flow.
