At this week's Awakin Circle in Santa Clara, Jamie shared a beautiful story about her friend in Alabama -- Sara. When Sara's mother passed away, she was devastated. After the cremation ceremony, she was left with the ashes and a heavy heart. Then, she decided to spread the ashes in the small garden in her backyard -- a backyard that her mother loved.

Every morning, she would wake up and greet the whole garden as if it was her mother. It ended up being a profoundly healing experience, and as flowers bloomed and fruits grew, she shared it with others in the memory of her mother. That generosity filled her life with so many profound friendships, and filled her life with gratitude.

At one point, as her cup started to overflow, she thought of helping others with their gardens -- and then few others, and now she's working across her whole city! (Rumor is that she is soon going to be on an Awakin Call too.)
