An article featuring Sister Helen Prejean was recently shared with me. She is an advocate for those on death row and has worked tirelessly to have the death penalty abolished once and for all. What resonated so truthfully in the article was her reflection of how easy it is to forgive the innocent and how the guilty are the ones that test our morality. How we treat our "enemies" does shed more light on our character than how we treat our friends.
