Kabir, the fifteenth century mystic poet saint from India wrote ...
Dukh main simran sub karey,
Sukh main kare na koi.
Jo sukh main simran karey,
To dukh kahe ko hoye.

When sad, everyone meditates
When happy, no-one does.
Those who meditate when happy
Even sadness won't find them.

Meditate is a loose translation of 'simran', the Punjabi word derived from Sanskrit work 'simriti' the act of remembrance, of connecting with the Godhood within.
