For the Kindness Contest, I just met an INCREDIBLE 14 year old that submitted this idea: "Hi, I'd like to apply for this $100 funding. I am fourteen years old, and founded an organization called Love For The Elderly. We give happiness and joy to elderly people through kind, heartfelt letters that are distributed to senior centers and nursing homes. We would like for everyone who sends us letters to receive a handwritten thank-you note in the mail along with a certificate of appreciation. With your help, we could have enough money to do just that. This would show our participants that they ARE making a difference and that their contributions toward bringing joy to the elderly have not gone unnoticed. I feel that Love For The Elderly is a great potential candidate for this small grant, and could really benefit from the amount of money it has to offer. Thank you!"

His organization, Love For the Elderly,   receives kind letters for senior citizens from all over the world and senior homes now write to him requesting letters! He just shared with me how he received a box of kind letters from someone in Iceland:).  Wow!  Do we have a future Service Space intern:)?
