Meditating And Praying With A Stranger On The Beach:

2 min read
Meditating and Praying with a Stranger on the Beach: Today after my morning walk on the beach, I was about to sit there to meditate at around 5:45 AM and then I saw a female from distance. She seemed to be praying to Sun with her hands in prayer position. I got excited that there is someone else on the beach who prays to Sun like I do. I was curious to see who she was so I started walking towards her. She was probably doing something and not praying. I sat close to her and started praying to Sun with my eyes closed. Sun was just rising from water that time. She then came to me and said " I dont want to bother you but you seemed to be so relaxed. I had a very bad morning. Do you mind if I pray with you?" I replied " Of course you can pray/meditate with me. I taught her about deep breathing, OM chanting and brahmri pranayam and little meditation. We both did everything together. She was so much in flow that she kept on doing it though I stopped. When we both opened our eyes, I asked her "How are you feeling now and what do you do? ". She said " I feel so light and nice. Do you know what I mean? I am a bartender. Last night after my shift, I got drunk and went home at 3 AM. My fiance got mad at me for being drunk. I fought with him and I ran from my house and came here". I talked to her to resolve the issue with her fiance. She sounded so happy about everything. It made me think " Irrespective of our nationalities, our professions, our good or bad habits, we all have one thing in common. "We all need love and want to be happy". She told me that she will go home, give her fiance a hug and would tell him that she is sorry :)

What a beautiful story Shweta. The rays of light are shining and as Jayeshbhai says, "Listening is an act of love", and you definitely did that :) Kudos!
