Kindful Kids Weekly

Quote of the Week

"Where there is love, there is life." -Gandhi

My Love Keeps Me Warm

What does inclusion look like? It embraces all with no judgment or bias. During this month celebrating gratitude, family and loved ones, we look at what it means to include *everyone*.  We hope you will be moved by this short film that appeared on Valentine's Day a few years ago.  This 3-minute video is like a warm hug with its focus on LOVE - something that we all know and share. Love has no boundaries, love has no prejudices, love has no labels. This simple message relates to all of us and has been grasped like a banner to wave in the face of bias and judgment. 'Love has no Labels' is a progressive campaign that embodies diversity & inclusion and ultimately asks us to challenge ourselves and acknowledge our shared humanity. You can read more about the project to promote a more inclusive world here.

Reading Corner

Title: Every Little Kindness
By: Marta Bartolj
Ages: 4-8

Follow the trail of good deeds in this beautiful wordless picture book to learn how small acts of kindness can make all the difference! When one act of kindness sparks another, anything is possible.  As a girl searches for her lost dog, a simple act of generosity ripples into a wave of good deeds. In the course of a single day, each considerate action weaves lives together and transforms a neighborhood for the better.
