Quote of the Week

"You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance." - Franklin P. Jones

What Inspires Me: My Children

This article is a beautiful heartfelt reflection of a father and how his life has been a series of little unfoldings through various experiences with his children. With a little humor and a dash of seriousness, this father opens up about all those little moments that differentiate the innocent mind of the young ones as compared to those of the adults. This father's journey of finding his own inspiration from his children is heartwarming and really inspiring to read through.

"Our children, by and large, are filled with hope, not worry – optimism, not sadness, and excitement, not regret.

Here are the seven things that inspire me most about my children Charlotte and Kate. As I’ve written before, our greatest legacy is our children. I hope you too have children somewhere that inspire you each day:" [read more]

Title: The Wonderful Things You Will Be
By: Emily Winfield Martin
Ages: 3-7

"This book is beautiful and has a wonderful rhyme that expresses the thoughts and feelings parents have when they think of their child. [...]  This book is ideal for story time as it creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere and sends a message that every child has its shine and that are they special. A comfort zone is built between the child and school environment which is important for the child. The colourful pictures with calm colours allow children to visualise the story clearly and understand the feelings that the book may aim to portray." - Reviewer
