Kindful Kids Weekly

Quote of the Week

"Motherhood is messy and challenging and crazy and sleepless and giving. And still unbelievably beautiful" - Rachel Martin

"Why We Love Being A Mom "

As I stumbled upon this collection of short blurbs from different moms across the world, I found myself asking the same question: 'Why do I love being a mom'? My answers were no different than what so many moms have shared in their learnings! Each step of this journey is filled with such small shifts, nudges, observations, open heart experiences and a lot more. Come to think of it, this question does not have 'An' answer. It is a collection of life-long learnings and mindful awareness that is constantly under cultivation. At the end of reading this small but insightful collection of quotes from mothers across the world, I knew I was no different from the others. The spirit and love of mothers is the same everywhere, across borders, across cultures, across any boundaries. The lessons learnt, the journey's undergone, the pain, the joy, the doubts, the smallest achievements are all the same. I instantly felt connected to every mom in the world. I wanted to reach out to each of you and shout a big 'Thank You' for being such amazing nurturers to the souls whose journey's may be shared with my child at some point in the future!" Be The Change

What have been your highlights in your journey as a mother? This week try sharing your small aha-moments with fellow mothers, either at work or with your neighbors that you may have had a passing 'hello' with, but weren't able to connect deeply for many practical reasons. Include your children even if that's possible. You could even do a little role reversal if you'd like - just like this week's feature book suggests and enjoy being pampered by your children as your 'mom' :)

If you're further inspired, do share a personal story or two with us, and we would love to share it with many other Kindful Kids Parents to keep the chain of love and inspiration flowing!
